JAIL POPULATION AS OF JULY 7 (23 MALES & 5 FEMALES) TOTAL OF 28 INMATES
ARRESTS
On July 1st Deputy Rudd arrested Jalen Marquis Whetstone from Sylacauga, AL. on a warrant for Failure to Appear/Driving While Revoked. He was processed and released on a $ 1,000 bond to await trial.
On July 6th Deputy Rudd arrested Cedarius Jvar Swain from Sylacauga, AL. on warrants for Failure to Pay/Speeding and No Driver’s License. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 598.30 Payout.
On July 6th Deputy Rudd arrested Sylvonta Dvon Mays Jr. from Sylacauga, AL. on a warrant for Failure to Appear/Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 1,000 bond to await trial.
On July 7th Deputy Rudd arrested Gary Lonell Bodrick from Kellyton, AL. on the charge of Domestic Violence 3rd/Assault. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 2,500 bond to await trial.
CALLS FOR SERVICE
MARBLE VALLEY
On July 1st Marble Valley First Responders, a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to CR 99 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.
On July 7th Deputies were dispatched to the Blue Springs area of Lay Lake after receiving a report of a possible drowning victim. The Deputies met with Agencies from the surrounding area to begin a search for the person. The next morning the victim was located.
STEWARTVILLE
On July 1st a Deputy was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office after a resident came in to report a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.
On July 5th Hanover Fire department was dispatched to CR 53 after receiving a report of a brush fire. The fire was extinguished without incident.
On July 6th a Deputy was dispatched to Hardy Lane after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.
On July 7th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 150 after receiving a report of a business burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the business and determined that the alarm was false.
WEOGUFKA
On July 2nd Weogufka First Responders, Sylacauga Ambulance, a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to CR 29 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. One person was airlifted by LifeSaver to UAB Hospital and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.
On July 5th Weogufka and Stewartville First Responders, Sylacauga and Kellyton Medics, Deputies and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to CR 56 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. One person was airlifted by Life Saver to UAB Hospital and 4 people were transported by ambulance to Coosa Valley Medical Center. The scene was turned over to the Trooper.
HANOVER
On July 4th Hanover First Responders, Kellyton Medics, a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. One person was transported to Russell Medical Center and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.
KEYNO
On July 2nd Kellyton Medics were dispatched to CR 40 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.
On July 7th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 42 after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. A report was completed and one person was arrested for Domestic Violence 3rd/Assault.
GOODWATER
ON July 1st Kenneth Ray Swindell a convicted Sex Offender that resides on Queen Street reported to the Sheriff’s Office to update his quarterly Sex Offender information.
KELLYTON
On July 1st a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.
On July 2nd Kellyton Medics were dispatched to CR 40 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.
On July 3rd a Deputy was dispatched to Long Tree Drive after receiving a report of a suspicious person. The Deputy patrolled the area and did not locate the person.
On July 3rd a Deputy was dispatched to CR 126 after receiving a report of an elderly male that seemed to be disoriented. The Deputy located the person’s family and they came to pick him up.
On July 3rd a Deputy was dispatched to CR 40 after receiving a report of Civil Dispute. The Deputy spoke to the complainant and explained the civil process.
On July 3rd a Deputy was dispatched to Red Leaf Trail after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.
On July 5th Kellyton Medics and a Deputy were dispatched to CR 50 after receiving a report of an Assault. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained after which one person was transported to Russell Medical Center.
On July 5th a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 280 near CR 87 after receiving a report of a two vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.
On July 5th a Deputy was dispatched to Hayes Street after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. The Deputy located the vehicle which appeared to be disabled.
On July 6th Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of several people involved in an altercation. The subjects causing the problems had left the premises prior to the Deputies arrival.
On July 6th Kellyton Medics were dispatched to Long Tree Drive after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.
RICHVILLE
On July 7th Kellyton Medics, a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 231 near CR 304 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.
ROCKFORD
On July 3rd a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. The Deputy spoke to both parties and the issue was resolved without incident.
COTTAGE GROVE
On July 5th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 30 after receiving a report of Trespassing. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.
On July 7th Kellyton Medics, Hanover First Responders and a Deputy were dispatched to Hwy 22 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.
RAY
On July 2nd Ray First Responders and Kellyton Medics were dispatched to Hwy 22 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.
On July 5th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 73 after receiving a report of a vicious dog in the area. The Deputy spoke to the complainant and then located the owner of the animal and warned them about the dog running loose.
On July 5th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 22 after receiving a report of an Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.
On July 7th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 9 after receiving a report of a suspicious person. The Deputy patrolled the area and did not locate the person.
LAKE MARTIN
On July 3rd Equality First Responders were dispatched to Wild Duck Point after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was assisted without incident.
On July 7th a Deputy was dispatched to Spooky Hollow Road after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.
SMYRNA
On July 6th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 48 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.
